WHAT'S COOKIN SEAN?: FRIED SALMON WITH PEANUT & TAMARIND CHUTNEY

Now would you look at that!

Sean found another easy fish recipe using chutney... Though this time using Peanut & Tamarind chutney.  Sean loves salmon fish.  He fried it and topped with chutney. At first he thought it would be that sour with tamarind but it was not. A must try easy recipe!

WHAT'S COOKIN' SEAN?: BRUSSEL SPROUTS

On what's cooking... Sean got some brussel sprouts. He checked out easy and quick thing to cook them with on the Internet. The recipe required pancetta which is not readily available in the kitchen right now.  So, he substituted it with bacon instead.  He got olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, shallots and kosher salt to cook them with. Viola!  See how yummy it looks like! Crunchy Brussel sprouts! Enjoy you lunch!

Happy weekend!

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: WINTER GOAT

This was Sean's lunch yesterday! Now, he  doesn't  know what to do with his life anymore after tasting this. Lol!   And guess what? He wants to get this again for next weekend. He liked it so much. He said it tasted like braised beef. It was so tender and not stinky. It was cooked with bean skin. He loves bean skin and I do too! Served as rice toppings. He had chosen this over Nando's paella.  He made a good choice!

ON FOOD TRIP: FILIPINO DISHES

My aunt from California arrived and the last time she was here was in 2008.  She missed Filipino food so my cousin treated all of us for a (very) late dinner (we waited for everyone that is).   We were the only people inside the restaurant as we reached there nearly closing time. We all had a good time!

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: KENSINGTON PEKING RESTURANT

Peking Duck

Duck wrap

Sean had these when his mum was in town.  They were joined by his aunt and cousin.  They had these Chinese food at Kensington Peking Resturant.  He liked the food there.  Ambiance and service is on the average if he has to rate it and it was a bit pricey.  Some reviews about this place were not that favorable in some sites, but then again it got locals and regulars who often go and dine there.  We think they should try it out esp those duck lovers... anyways, food preferences and experiences differ from the others.

ON FOOD TRIP: T.G.I. FRIDAY'S

Dinner with the best people i know and we headed out at TGIF, ATC (Thank God It's Fridays) on a Wednesday!  One of my all time favorite restaurants.  Always, loving the ambiance.  Reminded me when it used to be an after work hang out spot in Makati, and of my old friends.  Well anyways, tonight, we had the ultimate dinner!  Keeping records for the blog baby!

Friday's Ball Park Nacho
Mounded tortilla chips covered with cheese sauce, picadillo meat, pica de gallo and salsa.
My friend, had it for the first time, was exhilarated with the whole thing and said the best she had ever tasted in nachos.  I shared these tenders in platter with one of my friends ( i forgot how this called, darn!) and paired it with rice on the side.

Another friend had this Jack Daniel's Ribs.  She said she had the best ribs and muttered "It's damn so yummy."  She was holding her knife and fork when she said that.  That moment made my night,  I can't help laughing as i picture her having said that.
Jack Daniel's Ribs.  A rack of baby back ribs cooked until it is fall-off-the-bone-tender.  Seasoned with Cajun spices, fire grilled, glazed with famous Jack Daniel's sauce & served with crispy seasoned fries.

Sorry the photo above was blurry.  Probably caused by one of their legendary cocktails below....

Classic Mojito.  Shake things up Cuban style! Rum, fresh mint, cane sugar and soda.

Darn drinks! I forgot how this (non-alcohol) one called but i tried a sip and it was awesome!

I love going out with friends. We always make moments! A night full of laughter and our tummies full!

We rate this rated this 5 out of 5!
In here It's always FRIDAY!
Always a good time!

DRINK OF THE DAY: STARBUCKS' FRAPPUCCINO

Friends and I just had dinner and a trip to Starbucks next for an after-dinner-treat.  I always love cold drinks after and it was Green tea frap for me.

Green Tea Frappuccino® blended beverage A delightful blended beverage, created with green tea powder, ice and milk.
Mocha Frappuccino® blended beverage A blissful blended beverage, created with espresso, chocolate, ice and milk.

One of my friends, who loves chocolate cakes, tried out this.  I just had to try a spoonful of this sweetness!  Bought some choco eclairs and sandwich for the kiddos at home.

ON FOOD TRIP: KARATE KID

EBI FRY DON. Deep fried breaded shrimp simmered in special sauce topped with egg on rice. Served with refillable rice
CALIFORNIA MAKI
Crabsticks with mango and cucumber rolled in sushi rice and ebiko, topped with Japanese mayo. served with makimono sauce and wasabi.

STRAWBERRY MILK TEA
Extract from pure Ceylon tea leaf combined with sweet strawberry flavor and creamy milk
Lunch by myself and felt like eating some Japanese food.  I decided to give this a visit,  Karate Kid.  It was my first time to try this restaurant.  Missing out the SG milk tea that time so i tried out their Strawberry Milk Tea and i loved it instantly.  Not sweet for me and i can really taste the tea more than of the milk which is what i am looking for.  I ordered Ebi fry don and california maki as well.  I loved the food!

Rated this 4 out of 5!
Took me some time to figure out what to order... Service counter suggestions a must at times.
Food is great and i will surely go back!

ON FOOD TRIP: TOKYO TOKYO

CATCHING UP OVER LUNCH!

It has been like 10 years since i have last seen my cousin.  She is like a sister to me. Even with few years older than her, we have been buddies, did things and gone to place together.  She got her own family now and a pretty little smart daughter who i haven't met in person yet.  Took the time to see my cousin while i was assigned to one of our offices which is near their home.  Spent lunch with her and there were so much to talk about.  It was so nice catching up with her.  The years have set us apart but minutes together covered up those years.  And of course, time is not always enough for us.  I am hoping for more moments like this with her and to finally see her daughter.

Anyways, she wanted to eat here in Tokyo Tokyo, probably because she is into Japanese food as she stayed in Japan for years, and it was her treat..lol!  We had beef misono, california maki, chicken katsu and red iced tea.   We really had a great time!
