FRUIT OF THE DAY: RIPE PAPAYA

Look at what Sean got from the market.  It's a ripe papaya!  He wanted to have it just sliced while i wanted it blended.  Sean got a thing with blenders and the like that vibrates that i would not understand. LOL!  Anyways, blended or sliced, this is awesome!

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: STRAWBERRIES AND MANDARIN ORANGE

It is Winter time down under and these strawberries are in season baby!  They soooooo juicy and sweet!  One Mandarin orange left after Sean pigged out the rest of 'em.  Gotta enjoy 'em while in season Baby!

SEAN COOKS: BAKED CRABMEAT PATTIES

Sean made some Crab meat patties out of the fresh crab meat he got from the market, eggs, bread crumbs, spring onions, tomato sauce, salt and pepper to taste.  Trying to avoid frying, he chose to just baked it instead.  Yummy!

ON FOOD TRIP: RSM LUTONG BAHAY

Salmon Head Soup
Pinakbet (mixed veggies of string beans, pumpkin, eggplant, okra, bitter gourd and shrimp paste)
Chicken egg with no shells.  I am just not sure how they call this recipe.
Pork Sisig

We have visited one of our offices and it was time to have lunch with the colleagues.  One of the nearest resturants in the area is RSM Lutong Bahay. I have tried eating in one of their branches and it was my first to dine in this branch in DasmariƱas. They cater like homecooked kind of food as their name implies.  And truly they will never fail you.  Their varieties on the menu, (well obviously on the photos above, they're all there at the counter, like what you see is what you get), would make you have second thoughts on which one to order.  I was comfortable eating there. I admired the ambiance and the interior of the place. They have got wooden theme from the posts to the tables and chairs.  The place is clean and spacious.  I want to try their branch in Tagaytay one day. For functions, packages and info, you may want to visit the link on how to contact them at RSM Lutong Bahay.

SEAN COOKS: PORK RIBS ADOBO

PORK RIBS ADOBO ALA SEAN

VEGETABLES FROM THE SOUP
I see lesser rice which is good.  I know man can not live by bread alone but Baby so is by rice. LOL!
He needed a break from fish and chicken so it's okay...it is weekend and must cook all pork in the fridge.  Love that dried Pork ribs Adobo.  By the way,  to those who doesn't know what Adobo is, it is something cooked in vinegar and soy sauce.  We liked it dry and a bit spicy.  You can cook Adobo using chicken cutlets as well.

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: OVEN GRILLED TROUT

Sean is on a diet..well for now that his blood pressure blasted high on the bp scale!  His first time to get a high reading.  Less meat intake, less sodium and less...on everything!

He was able to get this fresh Trout at Paddy's Market.  Grilled Trout overload! He was all out on this.  With slices of ginger, tomatoes, red capsicum, onions, scallions, and dash of spices, wrapped in foil and into the oven.    Hmmmm...the aroma when he opened the foil when done.   It was paired with chickpea salad.  Another satisfied tummy!

COFFEE OF THE DAY: MCCAFE COFFEE FLOAT

COFFEE FLOAT FROM MCCAFE!

ON FOOD TRIP: KFC

Among sandwiches at KFC, Spicy Zinger is on top of the list,  but surely this Double Decker is climbing the chart.

Double Decker is made up of two big original recipe chicken fillets with bacon strips, sliced cheese, lettuce and mayo, sandwiched in a Kaiser bun.

Kurt and i, both love sandwiches and these kind of big ones send us in awe!  Got this to go for him!

We rated this 5 out of 5 with two thumbs up!

ON FOOD TRIP: BONCHON REVISITED

Crispy Squid Rice

Revisited BonChon, ATC branch.  The place is always crowded and just got lucky to newly vacated tables in front of the counter.  It was already late and we were really so hungry that time making this photo so blurry, my apology.  For seafood lovers, here is a must-try menu from BonChon.  Fried Crispy Squid rings, sweet and spicy, golden brown, atop a cup of steamed rice.  Non- chicken diners will love this menu.

I usually go for Beef Bulgogi rice with extra beef dining in.  I always wanted these beef strips over still hot steamed rice.  I ordered Kimchi coleslaw as well,  for the spicy twist on side dish.
