Craving for this! I went to the market and got with me native bananas, purple yam, sweet potatoes, glutinous rice which i made into balls, coco milk, sugar and vanilla extract. I was able to make a medium potful of mixed crops in coco milk. One of the native delicacies i like.

ON FOOD TRIP: FRESH SPRING ROLL IN A BOX
I tried out this new fresh spring roll or locally known as "Lumpiang Sariwa". This dish is now trending in the food industries as well us in the franchising business. Let me show you how is it before i pour the sauce on.
The wrap is green in color which i am not so sure how this was made. This fresh spring roll is made of shredded young coco shoots, Indonesian grass herbs, Moroccan ground nuts, chili flakes which is optional (i like a little spice in it), fresh lettuce and rolled to wrap.
Sauce is made of brown sugar, cornstarch and minced garlic. This ones in the box were freshly rolled and extra sauce were given per serving. I want to try others as well coz this one got like a herbal taste from the Indonesian grass herb.

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: HOMEGROWN SPROUTS WRAPPED

Yes these are sprouts homegrown by Sean right in the kitchen. He soaked the monggo beans for overnight and then placed on a strainer then rinsed them with water every morning. He wanted some leaves on it so he waited for 4 days.

I love what he did. They are cleaner than ones from the market. Fresh, greener and cleaner sprouts. Now ready for some veggie rolls.
For dippings, vinegar, minced garlic, chopped onions, and cayenne pepper for spice.

Wrapped with sprouts and vermicelli....yummy! Later that night he made this Vietnamese sauce (made of Vietnamese shrimp sauce, sugar and lemon juice) for his vermicelli. Sauce would be nice for fried tofu and thinkly sliced pork meat. Something he learned from a Vietnamese friend.

WHAT'S COOKIN' SEAN? : THE PEACE OFFERING

A peace offering from Sean. How sweet this guy is? He knows how to buy me out from trying to almost do the silent treatment on him. And yea, he succeeded! I just hate sweet surrender.

First glass, layered jelly, cream mixture and honey graham crumble topped with Lindt choco heart. A heartfelt glass! LOVE it!

The other glass, layered Honey graham crumble and creamy mixture topped with peach slice and a choco from the Lindt luxury collection. Who wouldn't melt a heart on these sweeties.

I love them chilled! The frown on my face disappeared slowly when he showed me these! i hate it when Sean does this! Next time i need to be more tough on this and never surrender!
WHAT'S COOKIN' SEAN? : SWEET AND SOUR CRAB CLAWS

Craving for these scrumptious claws! I love crabs cooked and prepared in a lot of ways. Even plain steamed crab whether dip in vinegar with a little chili or serve with lemon wedges are just as yummy! Now, these claws need some crackling! Bon Appetit!

An ultimate fave! Still next to beef... Lol! Pork ribs are perfect for adobo. This was cooked dry. Yummy! Bayleaf and peppercorns made wonder out of this recipe. You can also make adobo with chicken cutlets. But Sean is not into chicken much. So he makes adobo out of pork cutlets.

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: GARDEN CUPCAKESs

A box of flowers and a bee....a garden of sweetness is what i wish to be growing in our backyard. But these goodies came from an Orthodontist, a friend of the practice where Sean goes to work. The same sweet soul who gave the box of cupcakes on Easter. Just a little sweet for Sean so he just had a piece. See below photos for a closer look of the colorful cupcake toppings.
