My cuz Grace went to our place early in the morning. She brought us some of their produce. What was amazing was that she carried with her her mom's homegrown cassava. I was surprised to see such huge cassava. Too bad i was not able to take a photo of it. It was like 24-inch long and both hands forming a circle in diameter. Today is part of the long weekend, and kids are pigging out at home. I thought of making this a cheesy cassava cake. I got a two thumbs up from my nephew. I made it not too sweet and i am loving it! Two thumbs up as well to my cuz and aunt for having green thumbs!

ON FOOD TRIP: CEBU LECHON
These scrumptious dishes saved my day, Cebu Lechon Liempo (pork belly) & Cebu Lechon Manok (chicken) from Chic-Boy (chicken & pork). I was running late doing my groceries and would not have enough time to cook for lunch on a Saturday. It was already 45 minutes before 12 o'clock and i need to travel from the supermarket to home for another 30 minutes or less. I was thinking of what to cook when i got home and which one is easy and quick to prepare. Hasting and feeling tired, i do not think i can do that anymore. Finally, i decided to just order a cooked food so fam can have lunch immediately when i got home. Chic-Boy came to mind instantly. Not only because the resto is on the same place where i usually do my groceries, it is because their Cebu-style Lechons are one of the family's favorites from all grilled and inasal restos along the area. It's the juiciness and taste of the herbs and spices used for stuffing that i personally loved about them. Their prices are affordable and, i say, "worth it!". Lunch was served just right on time and family had a great time savoring the Lechons!

SEAN'S FOOD TRIP: NUGGETS,CHIPS & SWEETS
Busy as always in the practice which always resort for a quick lunch. But a limited time does not mean you can not indulge yourself on something. Sean and colleagues got a quick treat at 85degrees. What did they get for themselves?

Orel Chocolate
White chocolate puff base
and mixed with Hokkaido milk cheese

Creme Brulee
Sean tried this today and he liked it.
He wanted to try the Mochi and Panna cotta
but sadly they were not available at that time.
Along side his sweet treat he got himself nuggets and chips (french fries as commonly known) at McDonalds. He did not get any tea from 85degrees for he got himself a soda today.

ON FOOD TRIP: PIZZA PARTY
Kurt, my nephew is eleven and he wanted pizzas for his birthday today. The nearest we can get is Shakey's. Originally he wanted a grand slam or thin crust. His sister on the other hand wanted a hand-tossed or pan pizza. Since i was not so sure if ever grand slam is still available i just ordered one thin and one hand tossed for pizza. I called in for delivery and because i got my super card i was able to get 2 boxes more for free!
I got this on thin crust party sized. A premium pizza made from specially blended Angus beef with roasted onions and sliced mushrooms topped with crunchy potato strings. A grand steak out as what it says on the menu. :)
This is the hand-tossed pizza i ordered. It got 11 delicious toppings: beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, ham, salami, cheddar cheese, salami bits, mushrooms, red and green bell pepper, onions and black olives. It is kind of spicy a little and we loved the toppings.
Kurt did not expect he'll be getting these. He was surprised when he arrived from school and short after the delivery arrived. I love pizza as well so these ones a sure go!

ON FOOD TRIP: UBE MACAPUNO CAKE
My share of nephew's 11th birthday cake topped with plain vanilla ice cream. I am loving cakes lately (but still on the not-so-sweet ones). I wonder why the sudden craving for taste of sweetness like these. But anyways, i had so much fun!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KURT!
